HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND EVERYONE! My weekend has been spent shopping the amazing holiday deals, cooking, and today we did a little antiquing. My fam always goes to the Hailey Antique fair, and this year was no exception. Although, the only thing I bought was dried culinary lavender lol. But I was really happy to find it so I could get to making these lavender macarons with honey butter cream. I’ve never made macarons before, but I am dying to try. I will let you know how it goes 😉
We also went up to the Sun Valley Lodge to take some pretty pictures of today’s look. The lodge is absolutely gorgeous, so if you are ever in town make sure you visit. They have a couple of cute little shops, but my favorite by far is the candy store. I got some cotton candy flavored rock candy and it was stellar. I mean it is just pure sugar, so you can’t really mess it up, but still it was good. You can also go ice skating (which I hate), but hey it’s there. For lunch you have to stop at Snow Bunny in Haley. It is super cheap and super yummy (hint: get the onion rings).
Anywho more about the look I am wearing. I absolutely love the gingham trend that is happening, so when I saw this shirt (with the off-the-shoulder too) I had to have it. It is lightweight and airy, so perfect for the hot summer days. Bonus; it tucks in to skirts/jeans super well which was a big surprise to me. Gingham is just so fun and vintage-y, I can’t get enough of it.
For this second Fourth of July look I went for this super cute (and affordable) gingham, off-the-shoulder top. Two trends in one? Um… yeah I had to buy it. I love this white button up skirt too, and I think it really goes well with the top. For shoes, I went with these taupe colored slides, because the neutral color makes my legs look super long. As far as accessories go, I kept it pretty simple with gold earrings, my red bandana, and my wicker purse. OH and my super fun blue glasses from Old Navy! I am obsessed with them. Definitely barbecue ready.
Well have a great fourth of July everyone! If you missed my other look for independence day, go check it out! And let me know in the comments what you are planning to wear on Tuesday. See you next time!
