Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a nice weekend whether it was spent with your family or home alone. My brother came home on Saturday, so we spent the weekend hanging out as a family and trying to have fun within the quarantine limits. On Saturday we went on a drive to go take my blog pictures. I was hoping for a field of flowers of some sort, but the one my dad had originally thought of either no longer existed or hadn’t bloomed yet. But, that’s alright we found this pretty grove of trees and decided to take the photos there instead. And then on the way home we came across the prettiest stretch of lilacs on the road. So I of course made my parents pull over and take some photos of me.
This photoshoot was definitely not what I had planned, or excepted. And there seems to be a lot of that going around lately. A couple of months ago I thought I’d be spending my summer in Boise hanging out with friends and working. Now my classes ended last week, and it looks like most of my summer will be spent at home, doing a whole lot of nothing. But, I am trying to see the bright side in it all. This is going to be my last summer before I graduate college, and originally I was worried about whether I should spend it at home with my family or up in Boise. And it looks like that decision was made for me! It’s nice spending extra time with my family even if they drive me crazy some days. I’m also getting a lot more time to read, which I of course love.
In other words this summer isn’t going to be the one I planned on. But, I’m trying to just role with the bunches and make it the best that I can. At the end of the day that’s all we can really do, right?
Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go build a fort. See ya next time.
xoxo, kenn
